Flywheel Weight for KTM

Does anyone know where I can get a flywheel weight for a 2008 KTM 200 EXC?

might be easier to just turn the powervalve down if its too lively for you or unplug the ignition curve settings for the softer one, under the tank will be a black/white wire plugged into a grey wire, unplug that and it should be the softer setting, check with a ktm dealer first to make sure it can be done but i know its possible on the 07 and on my 09 200, best option though is to adjust the power valve settings

Didn't know that. However not after a softer power, just want to make it more tractor like for 2 mile an hour trials type stuff (e.g. The Tough One) so I don't have to slip the clutch all the time.

Ah yea just looked it up in the manual. I'll unplug it and take her down the woods, go over a few rocks and logs and see if it makes a difference. If it does i'll wire up a switch so I can change it when ever rather then having to take the tank off everytime.

nice one fella, worth a go i rode mine on the soft setting and its nice and tame, bought the proper ktm switch for mine was about £20 but its a fairly chunky thing so i'm looking to make a smaller one biggrin.gif

What a difference! Deff doing The Tough One on this setting.

Is the powerparts switch simply just an on off switch?

AND - For those with other / older bikes...

A 'trick' many top riders have used for years when facing a tough deep gnarly event on a 2 stroke was to back the timing off a few degrees, just for that event.

On a viscous 250 this was often done by moving the stator plate up to 1mm in a forward direction (this retards the ignition curve). I used to do similar on my 125 for long evil enduros, but 125's are far more sensitive, so it may be worth trying 0.5mm to start with. They feel smoother and more torquey, but can loose a lot of top end power. So its only really worth doing it for specific events.

For a dry fast H&H DONT do it.

best of luck to all experimenters out there.

basically yes its just a push down and it clicks switch and push again and it clicks up if you see what i mean??

you just need a switch that will break the circuit so you can use the slower setting then re connect the full power setting, the power parts one isn't nothing special and is quite big thats why i'm looking for a smaller neater one, so if you get one let me know
