What is the best body armour New v. Old

Hi I have neen competing in enduros for many years, and use the 'traditional' body Fox chest and back protector, elbow guards and kneee guards. i am interested in up grading to a Dainese or Alpine Stars all in one protection jacket. Is the protection as good? is it better?

Advice and experience welcomed.

Thanks in advance

I use the ufo all in one protection jacket, it been good so far....
The other great protection jacket is the sixsixone pressure suit.. it fitts abit better than the ufo.
As for the old school body armour, i have never tryed it....
Hope this helps

Hi mate - i prefer the new style body armour. Only things against it are reduced mobility (try a new one on and see if you can move well) and extra heat so i bought one with a mesh rather than a solid lining. You dont need to buy the big name makes tho - mine came from ebay (spain) and was 60 quid inc postage and seems to be just as good quality as the big brand name stuff, lasted two years of racin and green laneing and crashin and survives the washin machine / tumble drier too..
